Sheryl, TheCarWashGirl, is a highly experienced Commercial Real Estate Specialist with more than 20 years of proven success helping business owners buy, sell, and grow profitable operations across Alberta. Known throughout the industry as TheCarWashGirl, Sheryl has built a trusted reputation for her deep market knowledge, strategic insight, and results-driven approach.
Sheryl specializes exclusively in the sale of car washes, gas stations, and bottle depots – complex operationally intensive businesses where experience, precision, and negotiation skills make a measurable difference. Many of her clients come to her when: purchasing their first business, expanding an existing portfolio, or successfully exiting a business to retire or pursue new opportunities.
Sheryl’s strength lies in her business-first mindset. Before real estate, she spent over two decades in senior leadership roles within the corporate training sector, including executive positions with national and global organizations. She managed sales teams, instructor teams, operated profitable training centers, and held full P&L accountability – experience that translates directly into how she evaluate and negotiates business sales today.
Unlike generalist agents, Sheryl understands the financial and operational realities behind every transaction. She analyzes revenue streams, expenses, staffing models, equipment, and growth potential to ensure her clients are making informed, strategic decisions – not emotional ones. This level of diligence has earned her long-standing client relationships, repeat business, and referrals.
During Sheryl’s corporate training career, she had the privilege of employment with many exceptional, recognizable organizations: Dome Petroleum, ComputerLand, MicroAge, Northwest Digital, GE Capital IT Solutions, ExecuTrain, and Polar Bear (a division of IBM). These were all highly respected organizations of the time. Sheryl’s final role in the corporate training industry was as VP of with Polar Bear, based in Toronto, Ontario.
After returning to Calgary and obtaining her real estate license, and Commercial Real Estate designation, Sheryl made a deliberate decision to focus on one niche and master it. That focus has paid off. Today, she is widely recognized as one of the most knowledgeable and trusted advisors in her specialty market.
Prior to Sheryl’s real estate career, she had the opportunity to travel quite extensively, visiting 35 countries, including extended stays in Southeast Asia and Australia. However, for Sheryl, Calgary has always been home, where she lives currently, in the inner-city, with her two dogs, Maddie (a black toy poodle), and Teddy (a cream Lagotto Romignolo). Other than spending time with her dogs, Sheryl also enjoys painting, playing the piano and gardening.
